Hollywood Field Names Project
Hollywood’s field names are a living record of the village and the countryside around it, carrying stories of farms, families, old roads, landmarks and local memory. Many people from the area shared their knowledge to help gather these names before they are lost. The result is a rich snapshot of Hollywood’s heritage, from ancient Irish placenames to the everyday names still used by locals today. This leaflet celebrates that shared history and the strong sense of place behind it.
